Create. Educate. Design.

Biomedical visuals for all.

I am a biomedical visualizer who specializes in graphic design and interactive design. My goal is to create visually pleasing educational pieces that explain science concepts to a variety of audiences. As a project lead, my goal is to communicate with and direct teams to accomplish our most important learning objectives while maintaining a productive schedule. Whether I am working independently or collaboratively, the purpose is always the same: what are the goals, and how can they be achieved?

I create XR experiences, interactive experiences, illustrations, and graphical designs that foster a deeper understanding of complex biomedical topics. Combining both art and science into a piece can create a truly unique and beautiful experience.

Illustration & Design

Sometimes a clean and simple illustration is needed to summarize a research article or cover material such as in a poster you may pass by at a convention. Illustrations can include 3D models or digital painting with accompanied text.

Interactives

These are digital experiences that are meant to teach. Interactives can include virtual reality applications, tabletop experiences, 2D, and 3D based video gaming.

Project Research

During my graduate career, I created a virtual reality application in which users had to complete a lumbar puncture. I provided 3D models and code for the project. The purpose of this study was to examine how to design a VR application to enhance learning outcome.

There is an art to science, and a science in art; the two are not enemies, but different aspects of the whole.
